U8 is one of Berlin’s subway lines. During the time of the GDR, the U8 line went through both the eastern and western sectors of the city. Several stations located in the east were closed to the public for almost 40 years and became known as ghost stations. A long line of 24 miniature paintings creates a labyrinth of brightly colored rooms filled with stories of Berlin’s past and present.
