Mappen – is a German word for folders. A series of paintings on thin aluminum panels depict common flat objects from our studio: portfolios, folders, stretched and wrapped canvases. We are painting them from the back, and present them on the floor, leaning against the wall, overlapping one another. The replicas of items, that are usually overlooked are paintings and objects at the same time.
