“Berlin furniture” is a series of paintings about thrown away furniture frequently found on the streets of Berlin. Next to graffiti covered walls and doors of the city buildings, these objects tell stories. They become alive. Chairs and sofas are always “portraits”, they have a strong sense of age, gender, character.
