Three crumbled pieces of paper and a pencil were developed as a prize ("Vordenker Award") for innovation in medical research. The sculpture was commissioned by the Initiative Gesundheitswirtschaft e.V., the B. Braun Stiftung and the Bibliomed - Verlag. The prize was awarded to Dr. Markus Horneber in March 2017 in Berlin.
