4 Euro

edition of 200 paintings for the Kunstautomat,
Jewish Museum, Berlin 2015

Series of 200 small paintings "4 Euros" was made for the Art vending machine of the Jewish Museum in Berlin.  A museum visitor throws
4 Euros into the machine and gets an original artwork in return. In this
case one always "gets the money back", since each painting shows
a different arrangement of coins 4 Euros in worth. A small oil painting appears in an instant, as if the vending machine has produced it by itself... The series is a "Dadaistically absurd" commentary on the theme of "original and reproduction". At the same time the project asks questions about the value of money and ironically reflects upon the price policy on the art market.
