Double Take

Double take is an installation piece that questions and explores in an ironic way the complex relationship between "digital" and "actual" realities. We are interested in translating our understanding of "virtual" space into a "real" 3-D space, where many different things are happening at the same time. The piece consists of several wall-size painted images that focus on the notion of duplication and duality, as well as three-dimensional elements: white cubes-pixels, camouflage patterned fur-trees, ink stains, blue guides, text passages. The overall layered and slightly disorienting experience invites the viewer to take part in a game, the rules of which require one to look at everything twice...
